QUALITY PURE-BRED BAY CONNEMARA FILLY

Regan is very special.  She is the only progeny by Rickamore Surf, who has a brilliant career ahead of him in either showjumping or eventing.   She has his excellent brain but tempered by a super laid back temperament from her dam, giving her the ability to learn and absorb and accept whatever she is asked to do.  She is being backed now as a 3yr old and you can see her thinking as we work with her and nothing fazes her at all!

A bright bay filly with a lovely long stride and very light on her feet – she floats on the lunge!    She went to the BEF Futurity at Keysoe in August achieving a First Premium with 8.21, with the comment ‘very balanced.  Highlight was the jump – very good technique’.

She has lovely conformation with very powerful hindquarters, a good length of neck and lovely pony head.  With her long stride and elevated paces, good bone and excellent balance even at this age, combined with a kind eye and forward thinking brain she has all the attributes to go far in competition.

Retained for competition and breeding.

Intelligent and Talented

Regan has always been very much her own person right from birth – never nervous or silly and always learning – you can almost see her brain ticking along as we are training her!   This is the connemara brain that works things out in competition, and it is in her very nature to do so.

With the sought-after competition breeding by Rickamore Surf – who is eventing now and has such awesome scope he is looking at an FEI event pony career, or alternatively becoming one of the best pony showjumpers.

Regan’s pedigree has some of the best old Irish breeding with iconic mares Wireless Wave, Kilkerrin Surf and Castle Dame, and great competition sires Grange Bobbing Sparrow and Cuchulainn who give her the sought-after Sparrow bloodlines – giving her everything she needs to succeed.

Certainly a great filly for the future.  She will  compete before breeding, or maybe available for embryo transfer if she does well.
